[He's so cute and tiny.

Dan Heng gently starts to pet his ears and use his other hand to rub his belly. It's taking literally every mote of self-control to not start cooing at his boyfriend-turned-dog. He keeps himself quiet until he's confident he can talk normally and not in babyspeak.]

Well, I can't say I was expecting you to be a pomsky, but you're quite adorable. I have a feeling you're going to get away with a lot more mischief than I should let you.

[The dragon sounds amuse, though.]

[Blade wriggles happily beneath the pets and rubs. He's obviously enjoying himself. He's... not actually sure how much he can talk in this form, so he tries.

woooooOOOoooOOOooooooeeeeeeeeeerrrrr.

He closes his mouth and looks a little startled.]

[Blade's attempt at talking coming out as a husky wail is what sets Dan Heng over the edge. He laughs at the startled look on the dog's face. He cradles the little pomsky to his chest with one arm, and kisses his snout while ruffling Blade's ears.]

I see that the husky wailing comes naturally to you, my star. With how loud you are even as a human... I suppose it's fitting.

[He can't help teasing his beloved.]

[Oh, but that laugh is worth making a clown of himself. He makes more happy little noises as he's cradled and kissed, his tail wagging a million miles an hour.

He snorts at the accusation of being loud. Yes, well, Dan Heng seems to like it, so he sees no reason to be anything else.

Anyway, he goes straight for Dan Heng's face so he can lick him right back.]

[The happy little noises Blade makes as a pomsky almost physically pain Dan Heng as he tries not to coo at him. Again. He suddenly understands the appeal of small dogs.

The dragon scrunches his face as he's licked, but he doesn't move to stop it, either. He just turns his head so Blade doesn't lick his mouth.]

You're cute. [Suddenly, there's a thoughtful look that crosses his expression.] Hm... I could get you a service dog vest and take you with me, if you don't feel like going as a human. There are... some places that Cirrus isn't able to come with me for her job.

[It's not exactly a lie when Blade is a human in dog shape. Plus, he does need a service dog with his condition sometimes. It's just been difficult to find the time to get the paperwork for that rolling, especially when he's not certain Blade will even get along with the dog.]

[He nuzzles Dan Heng's jaw and shoves his nose into his hair. If he's inhaling it's just because his boyfriend smells good, okay.

That's a good suggestion, though. He pulls back a little and rests his head against Dan Heng's shoulder. He makes a noise that he hopes is agreeable.]

Eeoo-oo!

[He'll be on his best behavior. Really.]

[Dan Heng can't help giggling as Blade sniffs his hair. It's cold and ticklish, he can't help it.

His boyfriend is. Entirely too cute. Dan Heng actually can't get over this and it's driving him a little insane.]

You look like you're going to cause problems on purpose, but cutely so that you don't get scolded.

[Yet the dragon pets him and holds the little pomsky close. He sighs softly as he carefully lies down on the bed.]

Is your leg still bothering you?

[That giggling practically awakens something in Blade, so he snuffles into his hair a little more, quietly delighted.]

Mrrroooo.

[That's not a no. He's happy to burrow into Dan Heng's arms as he lays down. At the question, he hesitates, and sticks out his rear right leg a little.]

Hwroo...

[That would be a yes.]

[The snuffling does nothing to stop the giggling, but it's fine. He thinks.

Dan Heng takes note of the leg that Blade stretches out. He's very gentle as he reaches out to pet it, hoping that it's soothing instead of uncomfortable.]

If you need to change back to get more comfortable, I won't mind. [The dragon kisses the side of Blade's face, just under his ear.] Get some rest. I'll still be here.

[He hesitates for a moment before he starts to quietly hum some lullabies. Dan Heng strokes the pomsky's soft fur slowly and gently.]

[His ears pin back for a moment, and then they perk up again. He licks Dan Heng's arm so he knows it's okay. The kisses predictably make him even more excited, though... that tail really never slows down.

He lays his head on Dan Heng's chest and closes his eyes. The lullabies are nice, but he'd also kind of like to be a human blanket? He's torn. He's still debating about turning back into a human and hugging the hell out of Dan Heng when he—

—falls asleep.]

[Dan Heng keeps humming and stroking his fur. When he's certain that Blade is fully asleep, he decides that it's only fair to not be the only one human right now. He closes his eyes, allowing himself to become a dragon in shape. He curls his long body around Blade, protective and surprisingly warm. The dragon falls asleep himself not long after.]
